When you come with a brand tagline "From the management of Punjabi Affair", it comes with a lot backing in terms of brand following and banking on your food quality and flavors. Urban Affair , is new multi cuisine venture from the management of Punjabi Affair with already 3 well established branch. Taking up the previous New York Tavern Family Bar & Restaurant, I felt a little let down when most of the ambiance has been retained without major changes including the NYC posters spanning the entire wall space. I felt they could have invested on changing the mindset of the place and its history. That kind struck a OKish chord for me but then food started coming from the kitchen in a steady phase and kind of compensated for the upset in the decor and ambiance.

Their menu seems to be mix of Indian , South Indian , Tandoor & Oriental as well which focus to attract diverse crowd into the space. Felt choices available are pretty good but felt pricing is little bit over for the locality but then Quality comes with a price and if the do deliver with this quality that I had and keep it consistent, may be pricing wont be seen as a big dampener.

Coming to food, most of the dishes had right balance of flavors though nothing WOWed me. Few dishes were scrumptious including #PaneerTikkaMirchiwala one of the softest paneer I tasted in recent times and #NimbuMirchKaMurghTikka - with leaves of lemon, the kick of the flavors were strong and absolutely delectable. Sea food dishes like #ParsleyFish and #CalmariFritty were OKish as they had a mild sea food stint which they could have avoided but then was evident its not done 100% clean. #JalapenoCheeseBalls lacked jalapeno kick and wasn't that cheesy as well. #BurmeseParcels were delectable and so was #MexicanPrawnSkewers .

#AndhraFriedFish was a kickass dish with nice crunch but the slicing of the fish was not typical to fried fish but the mirch with it gave the needed spice kick.

Completely stuffed, we limited mains to Indian where we tried #ButterNaan with #MethiChicken and #RaraMutton and both curries were simple superb. Nice balance of flavors and richness in texture was evident to say they are strong in their Indian cuisine cadre. #ChickenBiryani was nice flavorful but any Hyderabadi now knows the authentic Vs wanna-be and this was later :) So decision is yours.

Sweet note finale came in terms of #SeviyaanKheer and #KalaJamun where both impressed me in simple and straight flavors and no non-sense attempt to over do it. #PatiyalaLassi is as good as Punjabi Affair and not to be missed.

Overall, again the same mantra, "Food Quality and Consistency" will be the key factor for them to make or break the customer base. I hope they understand the history behind the place and keep up the quality and hope they do good.

#GastroHogger #ReviewMode #LeesBanjaraHills #LongPostAlert
Yes, Chinese food and cuisine has been exploited to the max in every metro city where the actual chinese cuisine itself has moulded into what we call Chindian cuisine. That much desi impact has been made on the asian food adaptation to appeal to local palate. I even refer them Indi-chinese and not Chinese at all. So that effectively is evident that there are very few places that serve Chinese food the way they are made and served. Oh yeah you can count them in less numbers across the twin cities and for most part of it, they are hidden gems :) One such legendary gem is Chung Hua in Secundarabad. Now what if I tell you the ex-management of this legendary place has opened up LEE'S Chinese Restaurant - Banjara Hills in Banjara hills and silently opened up. Interesting isn't it? Oh yes, if you haven't heard about this thats because they cautiously didn't do aggressive marketing and PR activities over it as the owner MR. Andrew Lee feels the customers should come in via dining experience or word of mouth to ensure he has a stable customer base in and around the locality.
Coming to the place, as you get out the lift, there is this red lit cryptic chinese words across the wall which gives you an immediate aura for the place and as you enter inside and Guqin playing in the background, the mood sets in to relax your mind. Nothing fancy, nothing glam , nothing blatant - just simple decor to keep your mind refreshing. Job done.
Food in most part spoke without much fanfare and no hype as Andrew , owner cum chef said the food should talk to you and not me :) Starters made a stellar impact as each one was refreshing, authentic and subtle in flavors. My top picks were #SatayChicken with home made peanut butter sauce and #SatayFishSticks - the freshness from the fish and crunchiness from the batter outer crunch were both phenomenal.
#ManchowSoup and #ChickenDumplingSoup were refreshing as it gets and loved how subtle aromatic flavors keep you soulfully relaxed. #HakkaPrawns and #ChickenMomos both were equally brilliant but the accompanying choices of sauces, each bit was more delectable as it can get.
From the mains, the simple #SchezwanFriedRice was TP-THE-POINT no fanfare simple soul food. #SchezwanChicken was also flavor packed and bullseye. The surprise of the night was #SpicyGreenBeans which normally people would go beans? but when you bite them, you are addicted to the crunch :) Dinner came to a sweet ending with darsaan with ice cream (which btw was really nice) and #FriedHoneyBanana which stole the show with the simple honey fried banana made simply brilliant.
Verdict : The place is brand new but food speaks about the experience of the management speaks in the smoothness the dishes came in a stead phase and the way they were presented. If you are you for look out for a place to unwind, without music or much loud glaring ambiance and munch in some soul chinese food, hesitate not and head to LEE'S Chinese Restaurant - Banjara Hills and you wouldn't regret it.

Normally Bar Kitchens focus on relaxing decor, laid back ambiance & seating arrangement and focus on bar and DJ Music. Food takes a back seat as that's not the major ask in such places. It needs to make you relax and unwind yourself. Very few places don't go by that mantra and ensure food also delivers so that foodies who don't drink as well can visit such places. Of those few places, many don't sustain and deliver. I would say after my invite dinner experience yesterday, that myth does not apply to La La Land - Shuddh Desi Bar. Newly opened in Gachibowli Flyover area right above (& run by same management as of) Mathura Vilas . Place name sounds funky and they have pretty much retained of the previous bar "OverLoaded" without much change.

Also another note based on their caption, I felt the punjabis love their food and their daru. Most of the punjabi cuisine places focus and deliver on the food aspect and now we have plethora of options for dining but Why did Hyderabad miss the DHARU Part of the DilDaar Cuisine :) La La Land - Shuddh Desi Bar gets that balance correctly and I felt that was unique in their offerings.

Decor may look minimalistic and a bit dark but it plays well with the DJ music dominated ambiance. The dim lighting ensures customers get to relax and have privacy. The bar is centrally located to be viewed from every table. What I really loved about the place which scored brownie points in this was the low seating which looks at first uncomfortable to sit and get up. but when you relax , its the best seating you could ask for. I loved the cushion arrangements. Lighting could be better but it depends on everyone's perspective.

Centrally located bar seemed sufficient enough but what was made behind that was Amar Pattnayak's magic. Tried many cocktails from my side and each one impressed me, #ClassicMartini, #MuleWithBeerTwist, #GreenMexico - everything was perfect for me. Many might not like it as it had strong fruit dominance which normally ruins drink experience. But these were apt for my palate and I loved each one of them. Friends seem to enjoy the mocktails mainly mint mad and mango magic as well. So overall the bar delivered which ideally is A MUST WIN for a BAR & Kitchen kind of place.

Now coming the surprise or rather shocking aspect of the dinner, food mainly starters delivered spot on dominant and strong flavors. Except for the prawns dish, everything else was sumptuous and definitely going well with liqour

#PeriPeriMurghTikka - bold marinations on the meat and worked perfectly well for me. Well balanced and the condiment of yogurt onion salad was pure icing on the cake.

#PaneerTikkaMirchiwala - Nicely made paneer dish though I felt the green chilli flavor could have come out well to sync with the name.

#Masaledar Boti Kebab - The masala dominates here and so dont get it wrong to be over dominant as the name suggests. Mutton was cooked perfectly and the dish fared well with everyone.

#AchariTangdiKebab - This was my chicken dish star of the night. Huge Tangdi Legs marinated to eprfection and served with that nice balanced mint chutney. One bit the juices just ooze out indicating the juiciness retained in the tandoor cooking. MUST TRY

#DahiKeShole - The dish faired OK to me as mainly the dish name didnt relate the dish but flavors weren't bad either

#LasooniMachchiTikka - The surprise dish of the night as visually not many of us could feel it but one bit, the dominant marination of lasooni was evident and played well. MUST TRY

#SubzShikampuriKebab - a decent corn veg kebab dish. Nothing WOW about it

#BhattiwaliNimbuMirchiJhinga - This dish quantity wise didnt much impress me. The flavors were dominiative again but salt went a bit above the board. Again not too extreme but less salt could have scored home run here.

#FriedRiceWithBabyCornChilliBasilSauce - Neatly made fried rice tasted as regulary chinese outlet versions but add the sauce, it turned into a elevated dish. Nicely made and quantity wise impressive dish.

#PanjabiyonDiThali - These thalis are something you dont expect in a bar :) Never in my life I have seen. We were served 3 variants. The thalis are priced at 300 Rs for Veg and 350 Rs for Non-veg which I felt was more than enough when places serve half of this quantity for that price. Veg Variant scored brilliant while prawn and mutton variants also didnt give up on competition. What score high marks was the Ghee drenched jeera rice and Dal Makhni.
***** Easily one of the best you can get in a BAR ******* Don't miss them.

How can a place that has impressed you with food end on a dull note. To make it a complete home run, we had #LaLaKiKulfi (amazingly done one and 149 Rs, I can go rounds on this) , #MoongDalHalwa - not over sweet and apt for the mild dessert lovers and the apt finale #PunjabiRiceKheer - some felt it was OKish but for me the smoothness and richness from the rice and the strong flavor of the kheer itself was Food-Coma.. the desserts ticked off all marks to be served in a bar and not compromise on it.

Pricing wise they are not too aggressive but the quality of dishes and drinks do justify it. I would say for such a mixed customers based area, La La Land - Shuddh Desi Bar has definitely impressed me and I'm sure its going to definitely give a tough fight for other bars nearby.

La La Land - Shuddh Desi Bar proves that Bar can also deliver and set a new "BAR" on food and I'm happy about it. If you are around int his area, are like me who wants drinks and also sumptuous food without compromise, this should be your PITSTOP. I'm definitely going back with high expectations to try more on their menu.

Thanks for the management for having us and I should say I'm IMPRESSED

Some diners always are not in spotlight and for any valid reason, they tend to lose attention as they are talked about. One such place which I might have crossed many a times but never had an agenda to try out was Biryani Ghar in Madhapur above Churralto. The place yes gets mixed reviews and that may have been a strong indicator to me to not try it. After we got invited to review their place and try their food, I should say my apprehension was wrong, my perspective of the place and its food was definitely wrong and they proved me in a STRONG POSITIVE SENSE.

Place is so subtle and with minimal decor with 3 ground seating sections and 3 tables which in total might house 30 pax if not less. Place is unassuming and decor was simple and resonated the place's menu. Owner Imran Hassan bhai was gracious to invite us and also took time to explain the concept of the place which itself was a sense of clarity for me about the place. His intent was to bring in "GHAR KA KHANA" mainly on biryani front and hence the name. Now we had to see if the food spoke the same language.

Every dish - though simple and unpretentious delivered in flavors and some even surprised us in excitement. Be it the refreshing #KhusKhus and #Rooafza or the super flavorful #MuttonShami. From #BhunaChicken to crispy and garam-a-garam veg pakora, everything was pure SOUL FOOD. It was followed by #VegShami (which was for me the star dish of the night) , Aloo Fry, Chicken Fingers.

The surprise of the night was #KhameeriNaan (fermented yeast roti) accompanied with #NalliShorba . I just soaked the Naan pieces into the shorba and gulped it like a typiKal Hyderabadi Ishtyllleeeee...

#ChickenKorma with #GheeParatta (literally ghee was oozing in it) was the perfect home made combo that you could expect from your ma or naani.

#SulaimaniChai in breaks gave me the soothing factor

#Khichdi with #KhattiDal (as per my foodie bhai's comments) was home made and we could feel that as it was devoid of any dominating spice and just comfort food.

#ZaffraniChickenDumBiryani - served in clay pot was packed with flavors but interestingly very low in spice (of course intentionally).

We ended a very surprising but hearty meal with #BadamPhirni (which I felt was lacking punch of badam) and #ShahiTukda (again nice not artificial at all but lacked sweetness for my palate)

Overall, not just one dish but all were made with very low spices, fresh ingredients and NO ARTIFICIAL COLOR OR PRESERVATIVES (you might laugh whats the impact, we felt it, even after such a big meal, we didn't get irritation or chest burn or anything).

Verdict :
*******************************************************
If you are always on the hurry for food and looking for nice dominating spice, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU.
*******************************************************
If you have time to sit back, relax want good soul food (Ghar Ka Khana feel) and are ready to wait until dish is made from scratch and expect no side effects of dining and artificial masalas, THIS IS THE MOST VFM DESTINATION FOR YOU
*******************************************************

Yes, some places like this do break the monotony or perception of dining only runs by spices and food colors and Biryani Ghar is one indeed cute place which humbly stays by it above values eminently run by its owner Imran bhai :) If you are later cadre (based on my verdict), do not miss this place.

Some places stick to their cuisine and their strength and stay strong in competition. Aptly tag-lined "Originally Original Cuisine", Ulavacharu as a front runner in regional cuisine has made a name for itself in Telugu regional cuisine and has a fan following by itself. Trade mark dishes like Raju garu kodi pulao, bamboo chicken are resonant as many of our favorites.

The new outlet Ulavacharu Gachibowli at Biodiversity junction has been doing phenomenal after its inauguration a month ago. Place oozes structural decor (interiors completely done by a film ad maker) and the design and art work depicts the same. Today's dinner as a whole some experience has proved why Ulavacharu is a BRAND and a TRADEMARK for good food and excellent service.

Right from the "start on sweet note" mysore pak, followed by nice and refreshing rose milk, the note was set right.

Starters just came in as a humungous wave one after another and hit us with bold flavors and regional spices.

#CrunchyCurdCutlet was super soft and crunchy while the #BonelessCrunchyFish made us munch on more. #SpecialChickenLegPiece was boiled and grilled tangdi which tasted completely none like you tasted and flavor packed.

#BanglaKodi was super crunchy and delicious while #PanduMirapakaya surprised all of us the with the bold flavors. #BambooChiken, #KheemaKarivepakaJeediPappuVepudu (Kheema - Curry leaves - Cashew fry) and #JeediPappuKodiPakodi (Cashew Chicken Pakoda) were all simply brilliant in subtle flavors and coating our palate with nice spices without over killing anything. Starters overall mighty impressed and stood by its brand name.

Butter naan with #MethiChaman and #MirayalaKodiKura was apt and #MethiChaman in particular was crowd favorite. Super rich gravy just made us go Slurppppy.

Pulaos were no different. #GunturBilalBiryani and their signature dish #PanduMirchiKodiPulao and #RayalaVariKodiPulao all instilled subtle flavors and were not over dominating and aptly spiced and cooked to perfection.

#PappuChaaruAnnam cannot get any homelier than this. Simply WOW

The exquisite dinner has to end on a sweet note and of course the brand there as well with some yummilicious #MalaiKulfi, #Junnu and #ApricotDelight.

Service is an identity of Ulavacharu and the same was maintained throughout the dining experience. Overall this branch also proves that BRANDS sustain and prove amongst the competition.

Thanks for the invite and warm hospitality Vinay Narahari garu and taking time to meet us in spite of your busy schedule. This branch is also going to write success stories and no doubt about it.

CIBO house in Hitech city proved affordable yet classic Italian buffet experience is very much possible in every booming Hyderabad City. Its tremendous success has been self explanatory in the area as it was a let out option for many of us working in the corporates in the vicinity.
Of course, they had to expand to serve bigger and better and they have done it just about PERFECTly right in the new branch @ Gachibowli. Gachibowli seems to be target area for many brands as to appeal to a larger audience range and CIBO house is now as they have proclaimed "WE ARE BIGGER & BETTER".

Invited to relish their buffet offerings, Chef Arpit Anil Kelkar was a gracious host to setup the context of the menu offerings and quickly sprung into the live kitchen to dish out items in a smooth sequence. The service was impeccable as the staff were gracious , smiling and pleasant throughout the session. Place as such is well decked up and pretty much in ssame theme as Hi-tech city branch but this ample and spacious seating.

Coming to food, from salads to desserts everything was solid and they stood to their basics strong. They have not experimented anything new specific to this branch and retained most of the hits from their existing menu including #MilanoPrawns, #CaribbeanChicken and #CilantroFish. But this time in starters, veg scored for me in the form of #AioliBabyCorn , #HerbGrilledCottageCheese & #CheeseStuffedMushroom. The pastas, lasagnas and pizzas ere just on right flavors and appealing to palate without any hardness or dominance of any spices. Main course as usual proved to be Mr.Consistent. Be it the #HerbSpicedRice paired with amazing #GrilledGishWithPepperSauce, from #Ratatouille to #MalagaChiucken, everything was flavorful , strong appeal to palate and absolutely delicious.

In Desserts, #BreadPudding scored the best for me and other items also were apt. #CaramelPudding could have WOWed us but fell flat. Fresh cut fruits and ice creams filled up the standard dessert affair without much fun-fare.

Overall, CIBO house has definitely retained their strength in serving Italian flavors and staying strong in their forte. With a bigger space and in Gachibowli, they will be running extremely good if they sustain this consistency and keep their game solid and give such amazing service. Thanks Chef Arpit and his team for a pleasant mid-week dinner experience.

When we feel we got enough options in BBQ buffets but still most of our choices would be ABs or BBQ Nation and got a loyal following. Even though recent ventures like Cinema Social and BBQ Pride do have created a stir, the service and the total experience aspect of ABs was almost unbeaten. What if I tell you now we have a tough competition in the name of Flechazo Hyderabad. A brand that was launched in Bangalore exactly a year ago, lands in Hyderabad to put a new twist to BBQ buffet experience.
Ambience : WOW
As you step inside a building that was previous the shady Fryday's, you will be blown away by the makeover. The bright yellow and blue dominant vast decor will make you go WOW, was the space so big. They have made a complete tour-like experience by itself. I cant say enough of it because I really want you as a customer to go and visually experience it.
Food & Options:
You are literally spoilt here. From the OTB kebabs from grills section, "The Food Train" , Live Desserts Counter and many more.
Kebabs from Grills - every dish was super amazing and you are spoilt of options
Live Tawa Fry Options - Live veggie tawa fry and also their lovely Kheema + Lamb Chops were simply brilliant with Masala Kulcha. Their Kheema is pure WOW
The Food Train - Live Conveyer belt which serves you Food shots from Prawns with wasabi, sushi, pani puri, dahi puri
Live Pizza Counter - You have two options. "Make your own" Literally from scratch and "Choose your own" from their readymade options. Pizzas were brilliant again here
Live Italian Counter - Nice and needed Italian counter with lots of combinations
Vast & Lavish Main Buffet Options - This by itself is a buffet by itself with all sorts of plethora options
Mocktails were simply amazing and my top pick was the nitro lichee one and mango mania. They provided the chillness needed with the spicy and amazingly flavored food.
Service : 5/5
Till now ABs might have been the leader in the customer engagement to give u one kind of Dining experience. Now its got serious competition, Man their staff are pure engaging. They pamper you literally like KIDS . They keep feeding you like newly married MIL home :P Amazing is an understatement.
Overall, Jayakannan has brought in something that may not be something so UNIQUE in terms of the buffet concept, but the overall experience with food options and live engagement with customers (mainly kids) and I salute you for that and this place is not going to just do good, its going to be a PURE TREND SETTER. Corporate Chef Ajith's food options and the way he has trained his kitchen team who make delicious food on everything.
I know its long post but the place deserves this mention , at-least but then its surely going to rock.

T-Grill brand definitely impressed on my visits to both their branches - Kavuri Hills and Hi-tech, so I was definitely looking forward to visit their Gachibowli branch as I have heard about its spacious open dining setup. We couple of foodies met up on a lazy friday dinner and overall I should say it impressed me.

Tucked a little bit distance from ISB and Sheraton, this is the farthest I have travelled in the ISB Area but I was surprised to see the vast spacious T-grill neatly setup and I could only relax and unwind with some good good. Ambiance scores full here though I have to warn you about the flies yes its a problem but the staff and management do take care of it properly so no complaints on that. Of course we chose to sit outside though lighting wasn't enough for clicks, the cool breeze made up for it.

Already acquainted to their menu, we right away started with our orders and they started flowing as smooth as possible and review as is as below

* Cheese Kurkure - you can keep munching these crispy creations ON and ON and not stopping :) The crunch and the munch flavors are spot on and its a MUST TRY here

* Veg Corn Tikki - was good but could have not been burnt a little more dark

* Mutton Chops - loved the char grill all over the chops and it was juicy but at the same time a little too dry for my liking. Flavors n spices bang on

* Spicy Prawns - They cannot get this dish wrong. Apt prawns, nice andhra masala and you can keep munching this snack all day long

* Paneer Cheese Kurkure - Another finger good which was super crunchy and paneer was very good and soft

* Paneer Tikka Kebab - Soft paneer cubes and nice cook on them. no issues here

* Tandoor Mushroom - nicely cooked baby mushrooms but I felt they could have been more spiced and flavored.

* Mutton Vepudu - Their mutton dishes always score. The spicy masala on it and the juicy cook on the meat. SLURPPP

* Bheja Fry - I havent tried the old city legends over this dish, but for now, T grill is my fav for this bheja fry <3

* Dal with ice - OK wasnt that impressive

* Dalcha Mutton with Bagara Rice - Mutton was superb and as usual spices were apt and flavorful. Bagara rice could have been little bit more soft for my liking. The combo did work for me

* Mamadikkaiya Rice - This mango rice more similar to lemon rice was flavorful, definitely infused with nice raw mango flavors and I could get that feeling in every bit. A nice soul food dish

* Mutton Kheema Pulao - Their pulaos are their USP and this one proved again why. The kheema was well cooked, spices apt and nice flavors. I can gorge on it all day . The rich spices gets to you from first bite.

* Ragi Sangati Platter - Nice dish to finish your meal . I personally loved the pachi pulusu which gave that tangy palate cleanser feeling to me after such a hearty meal

Service was apt and nothing to complaint on and they were buzzing around as it was packed house . I could hear happy laughters and sounds which is indicative of the place being able to make their customers happy and we were too.

If you are in search for a family dinner or a get out place where you want to be yourself for with your bunch of friends but want to be away from the frenziness of the IT buzz, this is the place to be and food definitely compliments that ask.

My top picks of my lunch with fellow foodies there were Cilantro Grilled Fish, Lasooni Murgh , Charmula Prawns , Caesar Salad. Lamb Chops was a brilliant dish when the surprise Dish of the day was Spice Fried Idly - yes, you read it right - Fried idly with coconut shavings and coconut chutney, as a south Indian it made me go GAGA. Blueberry Cheese cake finished an amazing meal with a nice finale note.
On beer fronts, if you are not a beer person but want to experience how it feels, do not hesitate to try #BelgianKriek - white beer with cherry juice, this can make you go again and again for multiple rounds. Dont believe me - TRY FOR YOURSELF
#OranjeBoom - This could be the most subtle unique flavor beer of the place
#ForestRossa - was another amazing dark beer with amazing citrus aroma and spice flavors.
Overall if you know your beer or want to experience beers apart from regular brews or even curious to try to understand beer, TILT Bar Republic is the place to be and you know what I mean

Well we always talk about buffet options only from angle of VFM and how much variety I get for the price I pay. We also have a notion that buffets might not showcase class, flavors and presentation as compared to ala carte dining options and cannot be compared. Thought people prefer buffet for group dining options, we always seem to underestimate the efforts that goes into making every buffet with a wide spread to customers and many a times, that goes unappreciated on what goes behind the scenes.
Radisson Hyderabad Hitec City which houses variety of F & B options like Zyng for bar lounge , Horn OK Please for fine-dining style dhaba cuisine , Oriental blossom for pan-asian experience and Cascade - for buffets. Already been here for once on a buffet experience, I felt it may be the under rated buffet I have dined in recent times mainly from the angle of vast spread that you cannot imagine to even taste across all sectors. Now Cascade Radisson Hitec City has come up with "Spices Unlimited" Buffet with more focus on south indian dishes as part of their multi cuisine buffet which was earlier focussed on continental and asian features.
Invited for review, their PR team definitely impressed me in terms of how they connected personally in what goes behind the buffet and what changes they have brought in. This was a unique experience where they even made us comfortable dining with us :) which makes a foodie like feel normal and relaxed.
Coming to food, Chef has ensured to give "something for everyone" but at not compromising fashion. We tried few of their signature dishes including mutton sheekh kebab, smoked salmon with capers , quesadilla and few more. Each dish was on par in terms of quality and flavors. The offerings on buffet were huge from salads, south Indian, north Indian, chat, pan-asian, Andhra , continental and dont even ask me about Desserts Section - You can live there for eternity <3
Overall I feel they understand the buffet concept well than others and keep it more engaging by experimenting new changes to excite both their guests and their palates as well. I really enjoyed the overall dinner experience and I feel their buffet is worth the price.
I can conclude this one such buffet where dishes dont feel like in a buffet but given specific focus for and each dish speaks for itself and you will be spoilt for choices. Go on, experience this lavish buffet !!!!

With Hyderabad flourishing in terms of open terrance bars and lounges, I wont be shocked if many of us dont know many places that might be as well doing good and over see it. I now firmly believe so after my visit to Tipsy Stories - Rooftop Bar .

Owned n run by Sundeep, I was here for dinner with my friends and boy the night ended on a high note with the aura and the party mode of the place. WOW

Ambiance & Decor:
Place is nicely designed open terrace bar with also spacious inner seating space. At first you might feel, doesn't it look a little chaotic and may be not so spacious , wait till the music drops and this place goes on a wild 180 deg turn in terms of the VIBE.

Food & Drinks:
When it comes to food, not all lounges I have been impressed me, not having so high expectations based its reviews, I should say I was blown away by the nice spice levels on dishes which actually if you think goes perfectly well with nice cocktails.
Cocktails from D Yadev Yadev , Bar captain who worked earlier in Olive Bistro is a magician. Each drink be it basilian, rewind stories, scotch mint , each had distinct flavor, visual appeal and impressed me mighty. His Tipsy Melon with cucumber shot - was the most unique drink I had that night and the flavors blew me away. Sangria probably is one of THE BEST I had in hyd.Try his drinks and his barman specials in particular if you a drinks lover. HE IS A MAGICIAN @ BAR :) I'm def going back for more of his innovations. Well done bro

Dishes like chicken Champ, Fish wedges, Chicken Mumtaz was absolutely lip smacking and then came in the star of the night - THE corn cheese balls. WOW , pure foodgasm. One of the best cheese balls I have had it in my life. Other dishes also were equally good.

Service:
Being a full packed house, food kept coming in steady pace and also the big party crowd of 40-50 were well taken care of.

Main USP : DJ
DJ who was in the house during our dinner was GODLY. His mix is pure chaos and the whole place went GAGA over it. The diff styles of mixes and the songs Ufff.. Mazaaa Agaya yaar. Not even one soul was sitting simple as the beats kept everyone were on their feet.

Overall :
I feel this has to be the most under rated bar/lounge for me I have been in recent times. Everything delivered and I really couldn't find reasons to be disappointed. Do try them out and I would def recommend Thursdays to hear out that one amazing DJ

From the brand of well known Adaab Hotel , comes their gachibowli branch The Prince of Persia by Hotel Aadaab. next to Pakwaan grand. The place is still in setup mode where only 1st floor is operational. 2nd floor is being made for buffet and banquet halls and also ground floor will be housing, juice center, paan shop and shawarma joint. Should be all up and running in upcoming few months.

The 1st floor has nice and neatly decored setup with normal seatings and darsakthan seatings as well. Nothing to complain but I really loved the lights all across the place.

Coming to food, we tried a big array of kebabs which most part of it impressed us very well. Hummus (plain) and Hummus with Chicken were also both very impressive and delicious . the sabuk spice powder definitely elevated the flavors. From the kebabs, I loved the Al Faham Dijaj (Chicken) , Chicken Choupan and the Talahua Mutton. Talahua Mutton in particular was super yumm and it disappeared in minutes. Loose fried prawns were neat , clean and amazing.

Of course our main focus was the mutton mandi which was served hot and the aroma simply WOW. First bite with the mutton and the rice , you go into FOOD COMA. Amazingly cooked mutton chunks and that flavorful aromatic rice was perfect. We couldnt ask for more awesome mandi experience (Mutton priced at 350+ Taxes easily can feed 2-3 people normally). We wrapped it with shahi tukda which was decent enough nothing complaint about.

Overall, based on the reviews about this place, I was really skeptical about it but then the food delivered in most of the dishes and I can definitely get the clear flavors. They have ensured to serve simple neat food without over doing anything.

I will definitely go back for their mandi and also try their other arabic offerings. Considering the area, I think its a competitive option compared to our regular biryani addas- pakwaan and Shah ghouse.

Hyderabad always welcomes with open hands any bar-lounge that has open terrace. The lounges always gives plethora of options for people who are otherwise stressed out from work pressure and come there to unwind and relax themselves.

Joining this cadre is KARMA newly opened in Banjara hills. The building and the lift in particular may be claustrophobic and yeah it could be even making you Am I in the right place but the moment you step out of the life and you enter into a whole new world that makes you wonder "Where Am I"

The "I Love Karma" welcomes you to its world and the Karma Lady painting and swings sets the mood and tone for you. The outer seating is much relaxed sofa seating while the inner is completely different and was very much hip. They do have Live music setup and bands play on the schedule.

The artwork throughout the place and the cute but wierd funny wordings keep the tone and mood for the place. The antique pieces at random places add that odd tone to the place but everything just gels in and makes it one of the most decord and well executed places in terms of decor and ambience.

Food really surprised me in terms of the swiftness it was served and almost every dish delivered.

* Dal Chawal Aranchini : was simply top of my pick

* Stuffed mushrooms was simply superb and well done

* Sigara Bogeri, Veg Hariyali Kebab, Kung Pao Paneer - all nicely bad dishes

On non-veg, Cajun Chicken Roulatin, Spicy Coriander Chicken Nuggets, Tawa Macchi, Amritsari Fish & Chips, Peppery Garlic Prawns

Amritsari Fish & Pepper Garlic Prawns were simply superb. The serving and the presentation of pepper garlic prawns was simply superb <3

Spicy Coriander Chicken Nuggets were also equally impressive

On drinks front, we tried sangri, whiskey sour and some mocktails.

* Whiskey Sour is probably THE MOST best one I have had in recent times. The consistency and the flavors were bang on. I went on repeat mode on this forever <3

Service from staff were simply top class in-spite of the place completely packed up and everybody demanded attention.

Definitely the place to be if you are a drinks fan and/or needs a place TO BE JUST YOURSELF.

D place - D music - D crowd - D Decor - D Drinks - D food - D service - D feel - U just can feel it once you step it. If you haven't been there, JUST HEAD OUT THERE <3

Rendezvous located in top terrace floor of Deccan Sarai (Madhapur) same building as blanc glance and T-Grill is known for its open terrace and gives you an escape from the huzz-buzz of the craze and crowd and ensure you relax and unwind yourselves.

Invited for a review session, we were there and I was pleasantly happy to see such a neat and calm open terrace with nice lighting and totally away from the madness of Madhapur. The place has a perfect setup for an open-terrace lounge and with bar in centre, you get to relax and sip in some drinks with some nice finger food.

We were amazed at the speed food was served back to back and really appreciate the swiftness from kitchen.

About the Food:

* Corn Cubes : This my top favorite - super soft - guey - and melt in you mouth - you can keep munching them all time

* Crispy Chilli Baby corn : The appearance may have been little dull but the flavors compensated for it and I liked the spice level in it

* Hara Bara Kebab : very average and tasted bitter to me. Passable

* Kibs Cottage Cheese : Absolutely loved the paneer sticks dipped in batter and corn flakes coating. The crunch from the flakes and the softness of paneer clubbed with nice mint chutney was a delight. Must try

* Double Pepper Lamb : This had a mixed review among the group. Some of them didn't like it and said was too soft but I loved the way it was a bit rate but the sauce made up for it.

* Crispy Konjee Lamb : Again another super lamb dish. Super crunchy and almost like fries and this was favorite of the group

* Butter Garlic Prawns : Again nice dish with apt flavors and prawns I loved they didn't go wrong.

* Fish Amritsari Tikka : Hit of the night. aptly spiced and nice cook on the fish. Lip-smacking

* Korean Chicken : Nice chinese dish on chicken and happy that they didnt go wrong. Flavors was typical indo-chinese

* Murgh Reshmi : Presentation wise it was an apt and simple dish and flavors were again bang on. Another must try dish

* Kungpao Fish : This dish was stellar. The cook on the fish and the soy sauce on it and right amount of batter coating on it , made it yummilicious. Must try

* Paneer Cheese Aurangabad : This curry was totally worth the try and amazing flavors. The only complaint I had was the size of the paneer which was so huge and it could have been smaller paneer cubs

* Dal with Rice : decent . nothing fancy

* Chicken Pulao : Looked like rice with chicken curry pieces but flavor delivered. nice spice levels on the chicken and pulao rice was aptly cooked

* Mutton Kolhapuri : Another good curry with perfectly cooked mutton. The flavors were apt for the meat and also the richness was apt with rotis

* Nellore Cheppalu Pulusu : Of course this cant beat the authentic ones you get in regional cuisine places, but this dish was YUMM. Everyone loved the tanginess from each bite and the fish was aptly cooked. Another superb dish . Must try

* Hyderabadi Chicken : nice chicken curry again.

* Drinks : Their drinks be it cocktails or mocktails needs major re-vamp as none of them impressed me. Their bar appeals for drink lovers but unfortunately the art is missing and flavors are very bad. DEFINITE need to look for improvements.

Also, felt the prices of drinks were a bit on steep side even though of that serene ambience, felt it was little over for the area as there are lot of other competitive options in terms of pricing and drinks. I hope they look into it and figure out a more competitive menu pricing.

Service was good and nothing much to complaint. They also have facility for live music and so weekends, this could be your spot if you want to be away from the crazy madness from the prime area lounges and want to be yourself, Rendezvous could be your pick. Do check it out !!!!

Looking for a dining option on saturdays is mundane for me and it's definitely not a reviewed place. So I scouted this newbie whose reviews looked genuine and more importantly the Lucknowi cuisine menu (well was not mentioned in the menu but evident based on the names and decor). Mandil The Authentic Indian Cuisine @ kondapur (same building as punjabi affair) is a hidden gem in terms of a visual proof of how a small space can be brilliantly utilized for an almost neat fine dining experience (don't compare with higher end fine-diners) and made a visual appeal as I stepped in . The bright red decor and those elegant Chandeliers I tell you - Simply WOW. Well thought through and cluster-free decor I have seen in this area. Run by a passionate foodie by himself (blogger in early days) Ashish Ku Jena, this place definitely scores for me in decor and thought through ambiance setup. I loved their vibrant cushions too.

Food - The menu is well thought through and on inquiry its heavily inspired from Lucknowi cuisine after huge research and tasting that cuisine by owner himself. The chef and the entire crew are from Lucknow to give you that authentic feel. We tried some dishes based on my wife's choice and I should say they were flavorful, bang on but a little different for our Hyderabad palate. But none the less they impressed me. As we started to gorge on, I got into a deep conversation with Ashish and what inspired me was his passion to keep his customers DIL-KUSH and that shows in his words. Absolutely loved that nature and is most required for restaurant owners these days. No compromise on original recipe and keeping it clean was his mantra. The malai paneer tikka and Murgh zaffrani - super yum and when I thought food delivers, there comes , Gosht Rogan josh which is easily one of THE BEST I have had in Hyderabad. Period. the surprise star to me was the cheese naan where it was not topped with cheese as many places but infused in layers inside and the flavor OMG <3

The desserts hugely impressed me. Litchi Gulla (rasgulla with litchi made as rose petal) , Matka Kulfi, Apricot Kulfi and Gulab Jamun. Main mention on their jamun as it was super soft and the kova used was home made and brilliant.

Pricing : entrees between 170 - 350 , mains from 200-375 and desserts - 125.

Service was near perfect and the main thing is service staff has good recommendations and are well versed with the menu.

Overall I should say , a hidden gem impressed me big time and this is a huge impressive debutante which might as well compete with punjabi affair which has been dominating in this area. Mainly I was impressed with the way they deliver food with quality and also humbleness of Ashish bhai.

If you are in Kondapur, DO NOT MISS this place. They also own the newly opened Bonsai Kondapur in same building and also gonna open a terrace bar.

PappaRoti called as "father of all buns" is well renowned international brand. A vision from Rasha Al Danhani started off from Malaysia in 2003 and now spread across 32 countries and what else India's flagship branch is at Hyderabad - WooHoo.

Invited for a review of their offerings, we were seated promptly in their inner dining section. The place is hip-classy-cozy for a coffee shop and definitely the decor more on the brown side gives u the oomph of coffee which is also their primary products. The aroma of the buns definitely hit as you enter and can only make you crave for more.

We tried their signature buns - lotus biscuit, hazelnut nutella, cheese , strawberry , dates and almond nutella along with their special offerings of popcorn frappe and zaffron Latte.

Lotus Biscuit - this just hit us right away with the nice sauce topping and that crunchy outside and fluffy inside bun with the crunch from biscuit crumblings - this was pure WOW

Zaffron Latte - something new something that hyderabadis can relate and definitely very smooth - must try

Popcorn Frappe - caramel popcorn based frappe and first sip it sets you the mood. Priced at 260+ txes definitely steep and if they re-consider the price, the drink will definitely be WOW category.

Other bun flavors definitely were very good in terms of providing different flavor profiles across the bun and I liked the dates version and also the fresh strawberry version as well.

Their cold frappes are to worked upon as they were good but not WOW

We also tried their pappa mint and pappa regular tea served in classic hot tea glass jugs and nice presentation. Loved both flavors as well. They have around 9 varieties to choose from.

Pricing I would say is on the steep side but considering the locality and quality of the bun , I guess it's worth it if they keep the buns consistent and making customers happy . Mohd Kareem and his team were on toes the whole time and I loved the fact their staff knew all the items served and handy whenever recommendations were asked.

I'm definitely in love with these buns and I can know see why the brand was hyped up prior to the launch... Keep up d good work

Known as Beer County earlier, Bar Exchange brings in the liquor drinks on Stock Exchange mode thats now happening in the lounge scenes in Hyderabad. With an interesting and exquisite array of brews and their pricing, makes the place a must go if you are a beer lover.
I tried Double Stout and 1698 from Shepherd Neame brand , Britain's oldest brewery and my all time favourite Amigos beer (tequila based and always lovely) and I loved the 1698 for sure. It stood out until came in the hero of the night Vintage Ale from Fuller Smith & Turner PLC . This one comes with a unique serial number to track and has a shelf life of around 6 years and this one gets exquisite in taste after min 2-3 years of brew date. On tasting it, I felt this wont be for everyone but whoever loves dark beers, they will just go GAGA about it.
Accompaning eats like BBQ chicken wings, peta bread slices with hummus, malai Tangdi and fish fingers were all appetising. This followed by veg stir fry and chicken pizza and my pick of the night appam with veg stew.Definitely the Spicy BBQ wings & appam with stew stood out for me.
Place is def pep now with a good amount of make over from previous decor and definitely will attract pep crowd as a breeze. Watch out for the Stock Exchange Bull which is a key attraction.
Do check it out and Beer lovers YOU JUST SHOULD <3

Barbeque Pride joins the wagon of BBQ spots in Hyderabad which is embracing as many as BBQ and brew places mushrooming all across the city.
Located near to N grill and TOS, this place impressed me in terms of spacious ambiance which normally gets to suffocate on full capacity. This one doesn't , nice seating arrangements and also has 2 PDR arrangements too.
Service staff are very enthusiastic and attentive that could be a game changer for them if they retain and deliver it consistently <3
#Starters were for most part of it AMAZING <3. Mainly the parsley fish and Fish amritsari were WOW for me. Even the kebabs were nice and flavorful. Though some of people felt it had a tint of extra salt, I liked it as normally BBQ places tend to keep the starters bland and when BBQ in the live grill, they lack punch. These ones didnt.
#WishGrill has the typical exotic and regular meat options and I tried Squid & Octopus with Noodles - It faired decent I should say but none the less flavors were decent.
#MainCourse had plethora of options from Indian to Chinese to Andhra to choose from. Main course whatever I tried were average and I recommend them to reduce the number of dishes for a BBQ place, wastage on a daily basis might hit them hard.
#LivePizza Counter also was something new, though the pizzas are not WOW , they will be liked by people to be part of buffet but still can customize it. I liked that concept of this offering.
#Desserts had impressive options to choose from including gajar halwa, jamun, fried apple and pine apple jilebi (which btw was very nice) and regular dessert offerings, flavoured softies and the surprise of all live COTTON CANDY <3 Now if that doesn't bring the child in you , I don't think anything else can :) Check 'em out.
I wish they tweak the quality of dishes in main course even though the number might be less rather than giving huge menu and flavors not so impressive. With the pricing around same as other BBQ spots, I felt they dont have much of unique USP but definitely the spacious ambiance and starters are + as of now. All the best.

With craze for ice creams and shakes never dying and always making people want more , here comes a trend setter Icekraft -Hyderabad (already running in mumbai and pune) , a cute little outlet in Banjara Hills Road #3. The Black Beauty (Charcoal ice cream) already evoked enough curiosity and interest in us and when finally landed, it only got much excited.
If you do want something unique in your ice cream cravings, Do check it out. Few pics from the visit to tease you more :P
The outlet does follow the stone ice cream concept made on order and the offerings are a bit pricy but considering the area its serving , I would say its nominal though many might feel still its steep.
The main Kraft ice creams comes in 3 variants - Classic Kraft (just the base + sauce) , Artisan Krafts - base + sauce + non-premium toppings and Premium Krafts - base + sauce + premium/non-premium toppings ranging at 79, 99, 129 + taxes respectively. you can also make them into thick shakes at 40 Rs additional and freak shakes at 90 Rs additional.
The freak shakes definitely provide more natural flavor than other places and servings are very similar except they are served in nutella jars. The Absolute berry shake was subtle, clear but too mild for me while other foodies who like more of simple flavors went gaga for it.
The other offerings like fries also have nice options including zucchini fries, lotus stem fries and also with different sauce toppings.
Finally, the hot and happening black beauty - the charcoal ice cream Kraft. We had both variants - the regular whipped cream and their signature (yet to be added to menu) the Triple Treat Chocolate Delight which has orange zest, choco and charcoal added to it. Both variants were very different from regular flavors. You dont get anything over dominating but definitely the after taste of charcoal does make an impact but not that much. The cones as such on the other hand might be tart for few of us who dont like that as they got strong after taste. The spicy guava which was served in between as palate cleanser was absolute beauty ♥
The service crew were pure machinery dishing ice creams non stop and they are indeed super fast to cater the ever flowing mad crowd there.
Franchise Owners Srinath Darak & Nilesh Darak were absolute delight taking care of each customers and kept smiling faces. The place definitely shows lots of potential as its always crowded with kids and families and thats a bloody good sign.
If you do want something unique in your ice cream cravings, Do check it out. Few pics from the review session to tease you more :P

SWOT located inside TV5 building lane in Jubilee Hills is rather a tough to find location but that also gives its unique spacious and different ambiance of converting a huge apartment space into a themed restaurant. Uniformly decored in Black n White theme and matching vintage pics, the decor and ambiance might to appeal to sector of people and it might not as well. But it was consistent for sure. Also this is their temporary space and they are going to move to a bigger location and add arabic authentic dishes to the menu which sounds very exciting.
Starters and main course definitely exceeded my expectations as I didn't had much before my visit there. Dishes were nice and flavorful and I felt they need a bit more rigorous seasoning to elevate the flavors. Mains as well had nice flavors. I personally loved the chicken chaps, peshawari chicken and SWOT biryani. Desserts need to be improved for sure to give a complete meal experience.
The menu also has interesting history of how owner Mr. Abdullah decided to start this place in Hyderabad and to serve quality food to customers. Also adapting the well known SWOT analysis concept to theme and strategise this restaurant and hence the name SWOT. Overall I feel , with definite focus on service engagement and pleasant service staff and fine tuning the seasoning on dishes, this place can definitely provide nice dining experience.
SWOT - Wishing you all the very best and I hope you work on the feedback areas and definitely deliver much better in your new location and I hope the authentic arabic dishes definitely will attract nice crowd as well.

Often we tend to skip places that doesn't sound wow 😮 to us or look wise doesn't appeal and go to regular addas. After a long time "Reddy Gari Ruchulu" broke that for me when its ambience is nothing more than an A/C n decently maintained upper scale small eatery, the surprising factor was food. Typical village style dishes tagged with authenticity spoke to us right from start to finish.

Thella nuvvulu kodi vepudu (white sesame chicken fry) - nice try of something that's predominantly used in Asian cuisine and give it village twist. Amazing 👌👌👌

Karivepaku kodi vepudu - killer dish the flavor of curry leaves deeply induced in the rustic chicken fry along with kaju and curry leaves makes you want more 💗💗💗💗

Banglaw modi vepudu - another interesting dish served of chicken pieces wrapped in pre-fried potato slices and deep fried to give that amazing crunchy texture and its heavenly fish for anyone who loves crunchy snacks

Village style chepala vepudu - this bass fish fry deeply marinated on authentic andhra spices was another impressive dish where the presentation and flavors scored WOW from us

Reddy Gari special kodi tawa biryani - dish was well prepared. The richness from chicken was evident but bit more deep fry would have been good. The rice and the spice level was spat though we felt it could have the typical andhra kick of spices. But never the less the dishwasher super appetizing as we cleaned it in no time.

This place is really a hidden gem and can be known mostly by word of mouth. Ambience might not be your pick but if you are a foodie like me who goes for food, this place will impress you big time... They r expanding to a bigger place and I can only imagine the crowd they will pull. With revamped menu in progress they are to impress more. I'm definitely going back for their other non veg delicacies

Head out for some earthy and soulful dishes and you don't be disappointed
